Doing up a home involves two jobs: deciding what to build and actually building it. The service you need depends on which of those you want to hand over, and how much site coordination you want to do yourself.
Interior design only
The designer plans the space and gives you 3D views, 2D working drawings, a material schedule, and lighting and joinery details. You or your contractor then build from those drawings.
This suits you if you already trust a contractor and have time to be on site regularly.
Turnkey: design and execution together
One team designs and builds. A project engineer is on site, materials are verified with you before they arrive, and every stage is quality checked. There is one quote and one point of contact.
This suits most families who are working full time or living elsewhere during the work. Because the people who drew it also build it, nothing gets lost between drawing and site.
Project management consultancy
You already have a designer or a contractor, but nobody is running the site. A project management consultant does that independently: timelines, vendor coordination, quality checks and budget tracking.
This suits you if the design is settled and you want a professional watching the execution on your behalf.
